Studying abroad for a semester, getting to know new cultures and an international environment, earning credits for your degree, improving your language skills and intercultural competencies, making friends with students from all over the world and at the same time gaining that ‘certain something’ for your CV that companies are looking for – a semester abroad during your studies offers all this and more! Students from the Faculty of Business and Economics can apply to several partner universities through three different programmes. Depending on the partner university or region you are interested in, you can choose one of the programmes or apply for all three. To prepare, please visit our weekly office hours for personal advice and consultation in English. In the summer semester 2026, you can apply for a semester abroad with the Faculty's Exchange Programme for the summer semester 2027. Applications must be submitted digitally via the application portal. Please note that you may only register on the portal using your student email address (...@stud.uni-goettingen.de). Applications from registrations using private email addresses will be considered invalid. Further application deadlines for a stay in the winter semester 2027/28 and summer semester 2028 will follow in the winter semester 2026/27. A separate application must be submitted for each programme. Our team is hosting an information session in the summer semester 2026 on studying abroad through the Faculty's Exchange Programme Programme. In addition, the team at Göttingen International is hosting an event on the Global Exchange Programme and opportunities for internships abroad. Please note that all events are offered in German. For international students, we recommend personal advisory in English in our weekly office hours. The Study Abroad Advisory team offers weekly consultation hours in person (Student Service Centre, OEC 1.135) and by telephone (0551 3928801). During the lecture period, additional Erasmus+ consultation hours are offered to answer your questions about the application process as best as possible. You do not need to make an appointment in advance, just drop by! All information on current offers and times can be found on the Study Abroad Advisory Team's website.
