LiDAR-based assessment of ecosystem-related inventory data
In the context of forest inventory, a significant number of ecosystem-related characteristics of forests have yet to be assessed in an automated and digital manner. These include, among others, connectivity, vertical structure, adaptability, and functions such as carbon sequestration, cooling, water buffering, and habitat provision. My PhD (2026-2028) will entail the investigation of relationships, the design of concepts, and the development of field-ready solutions with the objective to digitize and at the same time ecologize forest inventory.Publications
